I had a set of Turbo TA gold wheels on my S-10. At the time it was so easy and inexpensive to get them. Now good luck finding just one. I got so many compliments with those wheels.

I had a 86 GT 5.0 and I used to always beat these SVO’s but I did always like the look of these cars with the hood scoop and rear spoiler but 4 cylinders I just couldn’t own lol

I still have my 71 340 4 speed that I purchased in high school back in 1973. Almost sold it once. That won't happen again!

I have to laugh, as many, the feared 427 Chevy. In 1963 at Daytona, I was there. The 427 chevy qualified number 1. I said to my Dad, "looks like it will be chevies day." He said without hesitation, they will all blow up. " As the race started the Chevies looked pretty good. Then boom, and few laps later another dropped out. In that race the Ford went 1-2-3-4-5. I WAS NEVER SO SCARED OF GETTING HIT PARTS FLYING OFF THE 427 CHEVY lmao. You need to reword that caption, lmao

Nice but I preferred the 70-71 Dart Swinger 340 with the 4sp. I did buy a 71 E body Cuda 340 with the rally dash and pistol grip 4 speed. That was a REALLY fun car! A friend with a 70 Chevelle 396 thought he'd beat me. Was he shocked when I pulled at least 2 car lengths on him from 0-60.

My folks bought a '68 Toronado and it was my favorite car growing up. Our family of six traveled in that car and even took a few long road trips. Being able to sleep on the flat rear seat floor was a real saving grace for us kids. I rhink the 68 was the best looking because the grill and hidden headlights looked better.

Ironically it copies a Ferrari.

I inherited a 1970 tornado and it’s a cool car.. hard to find now. It’s longer than you think and can make around in snow with snow tires and handles better than any classic car! Do like the body style better in the 60s and mine is an ugly silver gold color but the engine is a beast! A BEAST! It’s a very fast car! This car is like a living being to me.. it literally acts and looks happy when it’s paid attention to! Never had any transmission problems! Get disc brakes if you want to live!

I sold mine for a wedding ring guess can't second guess. I miss that car tho.

The Firehawks were really sweet and it was rare to see one. Best thing about them, at least to me, was that unlike the Mustang this generation of both Firebirds and Camaros were really cheap and ugly looking without the overblown body packages. With them they looked great and I has both a 89 Camaro and a 86 Trans Am, but the Firehawk looked really good without being so pretentious.

I had no idea this car existed. Such an awesome car. Pontiac always made fun cars up until their demise.

I had a 72 Demon all original 4spd car from San Diego with low mileage with a bench seat it was a fun car to drive very spirited car with the 4spd. The 71 with 10.5 compression and 2.02 heads must been another 40 to 50 horsepower something like 330 to 350 horsepower. In a 3100 pound car in the 70s and 80s this was a fast car..

Built a1979 Pontiac Sunbird with 400 small block in it was a lot of fun to drive for about 10 years!

My buddy in high school had a Vega wagon with a 327 drivetrain from a Chevelle. Pretty quick car as I recall. Traction limited for sure...

Visibility? To paraphrase Enzo Ferrari: "What is behind the Boss Mustang...is unimportant." And considering real world dyno numbers put the Boss 351 uncomfortably close to the 429 SCJ in power, there wasn't much in front of it, either. LOL

Finally, to put a stop to all the "baddest muscle car" crap. But you could not use it on the street as you would a daily driver....the engine and car was made for racing. Just ask anyone who had one.

Chevrolet also made all an aluminum 427 which was used in CanAm cars. Bruce McLaren and Dennis Hulme dominated with those Big Block all aluminum Chevy engines.

I once built one 1972 Vega GT with a 327CID was supposed to be 375-HP, but on dyno could only get 360-365-HP. The engine was built by a guy named John Reasoner a real Racer in The Philippines... it was the 1/4 horse to beat to become somebody.. Good Ol-Dayz. 11.2 /120 mph
